Job summary

Standard Chartered is seeking an Executive Director Americas Banking COO to lead the Americas region within Global Banking and Syndicate & Portfolio Management. The role focuses on strategy development, governance, risk management, and operational excellence across country and regional levels.

You will work closely with global Banking COOs, BRMs and stakeholders to enable business growth while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 10+ years of relevant business management/COO experience ideally at a global banking institution.

Responsibilities

• Strategic execution and implementation of country, product and regional Banking strategy and initiatives.
• Coordinate with global Banking COOs, BRMs and stakeholders to ensure governance and change management.
• Drive operational efficiency, risk management, and compliance across the Americas Banking agenda.
• Provide business enablement and support for local and regional leadership in Global Banking and S&P/M products.
• Oversee process re-engineering and regulatory changes affecting business processes and infrastructure.
• Support capacity planning, business continuity, access controls, and SLAs.
