Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 30 Hour OSHA Certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days
  • Advanced ability to read building blueprints
  • Ability to manage multiple self-perform crews as well as subcontractors
  • Ability to read a CPM schedule
  • Thorough knowledge of AMC's safety plan and OSHA regulations
  • Must be willing and able to travel to jobsites, including overnight stays
  • Good work ethic with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to work outside in weather conditions (wet, hot, humid, or freezing)
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Reliable attendance and dependability
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills and strong leadership abilities

Responsibilities

  • Completes safety planning and ensures safety awareness for the trade specific scope of the project being completed by AMC
  • Cognizant of other trades to prevent hazards
  • Completes routine project documents including daily work reports, weekly toolbox talks, and job hazard analysis
  • Tracks units, crew size and productivity to meet production rates
  • Reviews project schedule to stay on or ahead of schedule
  • Documents schedule delays, safety concerns, site conditions or other issues
  • Reviews out-of-scope work with the project manager before starting
  • Completes extra work order tickets for any extra work
  • Reviews manpower requirements with managers to ensure appropriate personnel
  • Reviews equipment requirements with the equipment manager
  • Facilitates daily coordination meetings with all trades
  • Manages quality of work including self-performed and subcontractors
  • Reviews and turns in timecards and temp logs by payroll deadline
  • Receives and reviews material deliveries against delivery tickets
  • Checks deliveries for damage or quality issues and reports
  • Collects and codes delivery tickets for project manager
  • Works with PM to review job cost reports and control costs
  • Maintains up-to-date as-built documents
  • Communicates with owner/client to confirm expectations
  • Coordinates management of subcontractors with PM
  • Adheres to safety policies to create a safe work environment
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Position Description

AMC Masonry-Masonry Foreman

Summary:

The Foreman manages and controls the trade specific scope of services being provided by AMC Masonry for the project.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  1. Completes safety planning and ensures safety awareness for the trade specific scope of the project being completed by AMC
  2. Cognizant of other trades working on the project to make sure that other work does not in any way put AMC crews in harm's way
  3. Completes routine project documents including daily work reports, weekly tool box talks, and job hazard analysis
  4. Tracks units put in place, crew size and productivity to ensure the project is meeting or exceeding bid time production rates
  5. Reviews the project schedule on a regular basis to ensure that the project is on or ahead of schedule
  6. Documents any schedule delays, safety concerns, detrimental site conditions or other issues that affect the ability to perform work in a safe and productive manner
  7. Understands AMC's scope of work and reviews any "out of scope" work with the project manager before starting the work
  8. Completes extra work order tickets for any "extra" work performed on the project
  9. Reviews manpower requirements and works with the manpower managers to assure appropriate personnel are on the project
  10. Reviews equipment requirements and works with the equipment manager to assure the needed equipment is onsite
  11. Facilitates daily coordination meeting with all trades
  12. Manages quality of work put in place (both self-performed work and subcontractors)
  13. Reviews and turns in timecards for all AMC employees and time logs for temp employees on the jobsite within the payroll deadline
  14. Receives and reviews all material deliveries to make sure the delivery matches what is shown on the delivery ticket
  15. Checks deliveries for possible damage and/or quality issues and reports to the appropriate department
  16. Collects, organizes, and properly codes all delivery tickets and submits to project manager
  17. Works with project manager to review job cost reports and control costs for the project
  18. Maintains an up-to-date set of as-built documents
  19. Regularly communicates with the owner/client to confirm that the project is meeting owner's expectations
  20. Coordinates the management of AMC's subcontractors with the project manager
  21. Adheres to the company's safety policies to create a safe work environment
  22. Performs other duties as assigned
Position Requirements

AMC Masonry-Masonry Foreman

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

  1. High School Diploma or GED required
  2. Sufficient education or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills, and characteristics to perform foreman duties
  3. 30 Hour OSHA Certification or willingness to obtain within ninety (90) days of employment
  4. Advanced ability to read building blueprints
  5. Ability to manage multiple self-perform crews as well as a few subcontractors
  6. Ability to read a CPM schedule
  7. Thorough knowledge of AMC's safety plan and OSHA regulations
  8. Must be willing and able to travel to jobsites which may at times require overnight stays away from home
  9. Must have a good work ethic, and the ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions
  10. Ability to perform on a regular basis in outside weather conditions consisting of wet, hot, humid and/or freezing temperatures, also contending with dirt and dust
  11. Must maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  12. Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
  13. Excellent communication and negotiation skills
