Job Title: Mason Foreman

Job Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

The Mason Foreman is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the work of a team of masons and laborers on construction sites. This role ensures masonry work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with design specifications, company standards, and project timelines. The Mason Foreman acts as the on-site leader and primary point of contact for masonry-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead a crew of masons and laborers on job sites.
  • Interpret construction documents, blueprints, and plans to ensure accurate masonry layout and execution.
  • Coordinate daily work schedules, assign tasks, and ensure workforce productivity and quality.
  • Inspect work areas and equipment to ensure safety compliance and report any hazards or incidents.
  • Ensure all masonry work complies with applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and other trades.
  • Monitor inventory levels and request or procure materials and supplies as needed.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate crew members to promote skill development and job performance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of daily work logs, timekeeping, materials used, and progress reports.
  • Troubleshoot problems on-site and adjust schedules and plans as necessary to meet project goals.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of hands‑on masonry experience, with 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Proficient in bricklaying, block laying, stonework, and other masonry techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of masonry materials, tools, equipment, and safety practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and team leadership skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 Certification (preferred).
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Work Environment
  • Outdoor construction site conditions with exposure to varying weather.
  • Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Physically demanding role involving lifting, standing, bending, and working at heights.
