Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health seeks an Ambulatory Surgical Center Registered Nurse (RN) for a part-time day shift at Jersey City Medical Center. The RN will join a perioperative team, assess patients, administer care, and document in EPIC EMR.

Strong communication and teamwork are essential as you educate patients and support safe, coordinated transitions of care. Active NJ RN license, BSN preferred or in progress, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing is required.
• BSN degree or active enrollment in a BSN program.
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.
• Experience in perioperative or PACU settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and respond to clinical changes.
• Administer medications and treatments with strong clinical judgment.
• Document accurately in the EMR to ensure continuity of care.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams for timely decisions.
• Educate patients and families to prepare for next care steps.
• Participate in rounds and support a culture of safety.
