Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Ambulatory Outpatient Surgical Department at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. This full-time, day-shift role emphasizes teamwork, clinical excellence, and compassionate patient care in a high-volume ambulatory setting.

Ideal candidates hold an active NJ RN license, BLS, and at least 2 years of ambulatory outpatient experience. A BSN is preferred, ACLS certification is a plus, and EPIC experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing and current BLS certification.
• 2 years RN experience in Ambulatory Outpatient hospital setting; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and recognize clinical changes quickly.
• Administer medications and provide hands-on care with sound clinical judgment.
• Collaborate with physicians and providers for timely, coordinated care decisions.
• Educate patients and families clearly and compassionately.
• Document accurately in EMR to support continuity of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and promote effective communication.
