Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health's Jersey City Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room. This full-time, day shift position provides opportunities to participate in complex surgeries with state-of-the-art technology and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a Magnet hospital setting.

The role requires a BSN or enrollment, IV certification, NJ RN license, and BLS. Scheduling includes 35.3 hours weekly, Monday–Friday with every other weekend and holiday rotation, and

Qualifications

• BSN required or actively enrolled in BSN program with expected completion date.
• IV certified from an approved facility, or completed IV certification during orientation.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet system staffing needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in complex surgeries in the OR using state-of-the-art technology.
• Advocate for patients undergoing anesthesia or sedation and coordinate with the care team.
• Must be able to scrub and circulate in multiple services including vascular, neuro/spine, robotics, trauma, and general.
