Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Surgical Technician program or equivalent required.
• One year Surgical Technician experience in a surgery setting preferred.
• Current CST certification or NBSTSA equivalent required.
• Current BLS certification from AHA required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in turning over operating rooms per procedure and department standards.
• Assist surgeons at the surgical field during various cases.
• Prepare and set up operating room and organize sterile instruments and supplies.
• Restock and clean operating rooms, carts and sterile core as needed.
• Serve as a preceptor to students and orient them to Surgical Technician duties.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as requested.
