Job summary

Adventist Health Glendale is seeking a Surgical Technician to assist the surgical team in the operating room, preparing cases and maintaining a sterile field. You will coordinate supplies and resources to improve utilization and reduce turnaround times, performing level I–III cases as needed.

Requirements include a High School/GED, a CST is preferred, BLS/CPR is required, and healthcare experience is valued.

Qualifications

• High School Education/GED required.
• Associates/Technical Degree preferred.
• Two years' technical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for each surgical case by accurately checking required supplies and equipment.
• Assembles appropriate supplies/equipment prior to operative procedures.
• Reviews equipment inventory for specialty as assigned.
• Sets up operative instrumentation/sterile field for expedient retrieval/utilization.
• Completes instrument, sponge, needle and blade counts with the RN.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
