Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital is seeking a Part-Time Surgical Technician to support the operating rooms. The role involves preparing the OR, assisting surgeons in the field, and maintaining sterile supplies to ensure procedural readiness.

You will also participate in room turnovers, restock supplies, and help orient students to the surgical team, all while adhering to department standards and patient safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a Surgical Technician program or equivalent experience is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• One year Surgical Technician experience in a surgery setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist to perform room turnovers per procedure and standards.
• Participate in surgical cases by assisting surgeons at the surgical field and prepare OR setup.
• Handle and care for instrumentation to prevent damage.
• Restock and clean operating rooms, specialty carts and sterile core.
• Serve as preceptor to students and orient on duties.
