RWJBarnabas Health's Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, NJ is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) for per diem Day shifts. The RN will provide perioperative care, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, document in EPIC, and support safe, evidence-based patient care.

Requirements include active NJ RN license, ADN, BLS, and at least 1 year hospital experience; BSN preferred. Per diem schedule, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM, with weekend requirements.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum 1 year hospital experience preferred.
• Proficient with EMR systems (EPIC).
• Per diem Day Shift 7a-7:30p; Monday-Friday with weekend requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan and execute patient care.
• Administer medications and therapies safely per standards.
• Document care accurately in the EMR to ensure continuity.
• Support physicians and advanced providers with timely decisions.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and next steps.
• Participate in rounds and contribute to care coordination.
• Engage in ongoing professional growth and educational opportunities.
