Sky Lakes Medical Center in Oregon is seeking an Ancillary Scheduler III in the Ambulatory Care Department for PT .6 DAYS. The role requires deep knowledge of radiology scheduling, medical terminology, and interventional procedures, with the ability to coordinate complex exams and multi-phase patients.

You will interact with nurses navigators and clinical teams, transcribe and schedule imaging exams, and provide proactive solutions to scheduling challenges.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years radiology scheduling experience or radiology clinical experience with medical terminology knowledge.
• Advanced knowledge of radiology procedures and preparations.
• Extensive knowledge of interventional procedures and sedation/anesthesia cases.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and validates imaging orders for accuracy of diagnosis, referral, authorization, and dates of service.
• Transcribes and schedules imaging exams across modalities; maintain scheduling volume and performance standards.
• Demonstrates expert-level proficiency in scheduling modalities and cross-departmental coordination.
• Coordinates with nurse navigators, specialty program coordinators, and clinical teams to ensure continuity of care.
• Independently schedules multi-phase, invasive, and specialty exams.
• Supports department leadership with proactive scheduling improvements and issue resolution.
• Reviews program-related patient lists to confirm eligibility and compliance with guidelines.
• Assists Ancillary Scheduler I/II with escalated calls or interactions, maintaining professionalism.
• Works within billing and referral workqueues to identify inefficiencies and propose corrections.
