Job summary

Inova Health System’s Pulmonology department is seeking an Ambulatory Clinical Manager to oversee outpatient clinics, supervise staff, coordinate patient care with physicians, and implement process improvements.

This full-time daytime role requires BSN, Virginia RN license, and pediatric clinical and supervisory experience, with a strong focus on teamwork, quality, safety, and staff development. Experience with ambulatory care preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: BSN, MSW, MHA or related Bachelor's Degree (or 4 years of experience in lieu of degree).
• Licensure: RN licensed in Virginia (BSN) or equivalent; Pharm D (pharmacy) and LCSW (Social Worker) upon start if applicable.
• Experience: Three years of pediatrics-related clinical experience; one year of direct supervisor/manager experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversees assigned area to ensure it is performing effectively, including hiring/training staff and implementing business strategies.
• Manages performance of team members and delegates tasks.
• Collaborates with physicians, nursing, therapy and other interdisciplinary team members for patient management and timely treatment plans.
• Analyzes patient outcomes and program trends; participates in monthly reporting of trends and outcomes in meetings.
