Job summary

Inova Health System is seeking an Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) in Pulmonology for a full-time day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, at our Ashburn, VA clinic.

The RN will perform essential duties such as phone triage, care navigation, and in-basket management, delivering safe, holistic care in an outpatient setting and supporting patient education.

Required BSN (or progress to BSN) with RN license in Virginia, BLS, and 0 years experience; preferred 1–2 years acute care.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited school; ADN must complete BSN within 5 years.
• RN licensed or eligible to practice in Virginia.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Phone triage, care navigation and in-basket management.
• Provide safe, therapeutic outpatient care in physician practice.
• Educate patients and families; support outcomes and workflow efficiency.
• Assist team to maintain maximum productivity; make clinical decisions as needed.
