Job summary

Southcoast Health System, Inc. is seeking a Practice Specialist for the Dartmouth, MA location. The role supports ambulatory operations, including scheduling, registration, referrals and authorizations, under the Practice Administrator/Manager.

40 hours per week, day shift 8:00am–4:30pm, on-site at Surgery in Dartmouth. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 1–3 years in a medical office, and some supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma is required; Associates degree preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in a medical office setting or similar environment.
• Supervisory/leadership experience in ambulatory settings is preferred (1–3 years).
• Strong customer service, multitasking and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and prior EHR experience required; EPIC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily ambulatory practice operations and support staff.
• Handle appointment scheduling, registration, referrals, authorizations and staff assignments.
• Manage multiple priorities while delivering excellent customer service.
• Support practice administrator/manager in daily workflows and process improvements.
