Job summary

Trinity Health in Michigan is seeking an Ambulatory Pharmacy Technician to join our team on a full-time, day-shift basis. The role focuses on supporting a centralized Prior Authorization Clinic across Trinity Health Medical Group practices in West Michigan.

Responsibilities include resolving and appealing prior authorizations and helping patients access medications. A high school diploma and licensed/certified technician credentials are required or obtainable within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of pharmacy work experience required; experience in multiple healthcare settings preferred.
• Formal Pharmacy Technician training program preferred (education).
• Licensed Pharmacy Technician in Michigan (LPhT) and nationally certified (CPhT) or eligible to obtain certification within six months of hire.

• Support a centralized Prior Authorization Clinic serving Trinity Health Medical Group practices throughout West Michigan.
• Resolve and appeal prior authorization requests; assist with medication access for patients.
• Provide support to other ambulatory pharmacy clinics as needed.

Position Summary

The Pharmacy Technician will primarily support a centralized Prior Authorization Clinic serving Trinity Health Medical Group practices throughout West Michigan. Responsibilities include resolving and appealing prior authorization requests and supporting medication access for patients. The technician may also provide support to other ambulatory pharmacy clinics as needed.

What The Pharmacy Technician Will Need

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician training program preferred.
• Licensed Pharmacy Technician in the State of Michigan (LPhT) and nationally certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), or eligible to obtain national certification within six months of hire with prior pharmacy technician experience.
• Minimum of one year of pharmacy work experience required; experience in multiple healthcare settings preferred.
• Previous experience working within multidisciplinary healthcare teams preferred.
