Job summary

Northwestern Medicine seeks a Pharmacy Operations Analyst to serve as the primary analytics resource for patient care, collaborating with clinical and operational leaders to monitor financial, clinical, quality, and operational metrics across patient care areas.

The role supports creation and distribution of internal dashboards and nursing dashboards, providing ad hoc reports and data-driven insights to enhance performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of relevant work experience required.
• 2-3 years related experience required.
• Illinois Pharmacy Technician licensure with IDFPR within 60 days of hire.
• CPhT or ExCPT certification required for all those licensed after 2008; newly licensed technicians have 2 years to obtain certification.
• Demonstrated excellent analytical skills.
• Excellent PC-based skills using Microsoft Office products (Excel, etc.).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Obtain, analyze and interpret financial, clinical, quality and operational data from multiple internal and external data sources.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date analytical documentation and operational dashboards.
• Conduct internal audits on prescription claims including 340B eligibility and respond to external payor audits.
• Prepare ad hoc reports for management to understand financial, clinical, quality and operational issues.
• Collaborate with hospital departments to assist budgeting, variance analysis, and setting budget targets.
• Participate in monthly budget variance reporting and during budget preparation and review.
• Identify and implement new reporting methods to improve processes and workflow.
• Develop metrics to measure process performance and data quality.
• Provide quality control to ensure accuracy and integrity of data.
