Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Clinical Operations Coordinator, RN to supervise daily clinical operations across practice sites and lead clinical support staff, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to policies.

The role involves coordinating staff and provider schedules, conducting staff meetings, and maintaining confidentiality while supporting the mission to deliver excellent patient experiences.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure or certification from an accepted accrediting institution in a clinical field.
• BSN or degree completion within two (2) years of hire.
• Licensed registered nurse.
• Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience
• Basic Life Support Certification from an American Heart Association accredited source
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the office’s clinical support staff, manage workload distribution and prioritization of tasks.
• Participate in interviewing, hiring, training, progressive discipline, dismissals, and performance appraisals.
• Oversee and direct day to day office clinical operations within budget guidelines.
• Assist with managing providers schedule templates and optimize patient care hours to enhance productivity.
• Schedule staff and allocate resources across hours of operation to maximize patient access and satisfaction, provider productivity and efficiency, staff productivity.
• Responsible for front-line communication with staff to receive and provide feedback regarding clinical workflow, quality and productivity.
• Ensure that service excellence is delivered and perform service recovery whenever necessary.
• Manage medical surgical supplies within budget.
