USPI North Houston Endoscopy & Surgery is seeking a Patient Access Representative to handle registration, insurance verification, and scheduling for outpatient procedures. The role emphasizes accuracy, HIPAA compliance, and patient-centered service. Position requires weekdays only with occasional early mornings or late evenings as surgeries dictate.

The department operates 4 OR rooms and 2 treatment rooms, focusing on colorectal, GI, and pain management procedures.

Formación

• High School graduate or equivalent required.

Responsabilidades

• Communicate with clinical departments or Scheduling Representative to obtain scheduled appointments and/or orders prior to the service date.

Educación

High School graduate or equivalent

Experience in patient registration, verification and authorization in a medical center or comparable institution

Working knowledge of governmental regulations and other reimbursement criteria

Type at least 40 WPM

Excellent verbal and written communication

Multitasking and prioritization

Interpersonal skills

Pleasant disposition under stress

Office equipment proficiency

Decisive under time pressure

Knowledge of insurance requirements for reimbursement
