Job summary

ThedaCare is seeking an Operating Room Surgical Tech for the Oshkosh ambulatory surgery center. You will assist in preparing and caring for surgical patients, maintain sterile technique, and support the surgeon with instruments and supplies.

The ideal candidate has completed a surgical technologist program and holds BLS; ACLS is required in the Cath Lab. Schedule includes bi-weekly 8-hour shifts and weekly 4-hour shifts, with 0.1 FTE and daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Completion of a surgical technologist training program.
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS).
• ACLS is required in the Cath Lab.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of surgical procedures and instrumentation to provide high quality outcomes.
• Selects instruments, equipment, and supplies for each procedure to achieve desired clinical outcomes.
• Prepares room for procedure by setting up sterile tables and checking equipment.
• Scrubs for surgical procedures by prepping and draping patients and assisting with instruments.
• Assists with patient transfers to ensure safety and efficiency.
