ThedaCare Orthopedic Spine and Pain Hospital in Appleton, Wisconsin seeks a Surgical Technologist to assist in the preparation and care of surgical patients under the direction of a nurse or physician. This role requires knowledge of sterile/aseptic technique and the ability to align anatomy and procedures with the surgeon's performance.
This campus includes 8 operating rooms and specialties in Orthopedics, Spine and Pain, with ROSA and MAZOR robotics enhancing procedures.

Summary: The Surgical Technologist assists in the preparation and care of surgical patients under the general direction of a professional nurse or a physician. Possesses expertise in the theory and application of sterile/aseptic technique and combines the knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation tools and technologies to facilitate a surgeon’s performance of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.
This campus has 8 OR's and specialize in Ortho, Spine and Pain but also do hand/upper extremity and podiatry cases. At our OSP campus you can participate in Spine and Ortho robotics utilizing the ROSA and MAZOR to advance the surgical procedures. There is a culture of multidisciplinary teamwork to focus on patient centered care and quality clinical outcomes, while maintaining a culture of safety, innovation and continuous improvement.
8-hour shifts alternating start times between 6a or 8:30a, 1-2 stay over shifts per week if cases go over. No Weekends. No Call.
Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of Fifty (50) pounds without assistance. Job classification is exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties. Occasional high noise level in work environment. Worker shift details: Days.
