Job summary

ThedaCare Medical Center - Waupaca seeks a dedicated Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team. You will assist in preparation and care of surgical patients and ensure sterile technique throughout procedures.

You will set up sterile tables, pass instruments, and help the surgeon, under the direction of a nurse or physician. BLS/ACLS are required for Cath Lab coverage and on-call readiness is expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Completion of a surgical technologist training program.

Responsibilities

• Assists in preparation and care of surgical patients under supervision.
• Prepares room, sets up sterile tables, and passes instruments.
• Maintains sterile technique and assists surgeon during procedures.

Skills

Sterile/aseptic technique

Knowledge of surgical instruments

BLS certification (American Heart Association)
