Job summary

SCA Health in Boynton Beach, FL, is actively hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room. You will promote the mission, assess patients through perioperative care, and develop individualized plans.

You will also join a multidisciplinary team to plan perioperative patient care. Requirements include RN from an accredited program, 1 year OR/medical-surgical experience, and valid BLS/ACLS/PALS where applicable; perioperative certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year of OR and/or medical / surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Current state nursing licensure to practice in good standings.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 of employment or documentation of current BLS certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current ACLS certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course is required when pediatric care is included in the facility scope of services within 90 days of employment or documentation of current PALS certification.
• Specialty certification in Perioperative Nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
• Assess patient status throughout the perioperative episode of care.
• Develop an individualized perioperative patient plan of care.
• Serve as a member of a multidisciplinary team in planning perioperative patient care.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Current state nursing licensure to practice in good standings.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification

Perioperative Nursing specialty certification (preferred)
