Job summary

Pascack Valley Medical Center is seeking a day shift, full-time Registered Nurse for Day Surgery (OR) in Westwood, NJ. The RN will care for patients before and after same-day procedures, promoting health and wellness across ambulatory settings.

The role requires NJ RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, with a focus on cost-effective patient care and family support to enhance outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• 1+ years’ experience working as a Medical Surgical Nurse.
• New Jersey RN license.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• ACLS certification.
• PALS certification.

Responsibilities

• Ambulatory care RN providing episodic 24-hour-or-less care across settings.
• Care for patients before and after same-day surgery or outpatient procedures.
• Promote health, disease prevention, and management of chronic or acute conditions in cost-effective ways.
• Support family members in caring for loved ones and encourage patient self-management.
