Job summary

MaineHealth seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Ambulatory Surgical Care unit as a Per Diem, Day shift RN II. The nurse provides care across perioperative phases and supports the team in a dynamic surgical environment.

Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and coordination with anesthesia and surgical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Requires RN license and BLS; BSN preferred; one year of RN experience required.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Licensure: Current RN license in the applicable state and BLS certification.
• Experience: One year of recent RN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Care for perioperative phases including pre-op, phase I and phase II.
• Coordinate with anesthesia, surgeon, and other units during all phases.
• Assess patient needs and make critical judgments to deliver safe care.
