Job summary

Careos Surgicenter, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks an Operating Room Nurse for our ambulatory surgery center in central Austin. You will contribute as a circulating or scrub nurse, ensuring safe, efficient care from setup through transfer to recovery.

You will bring RN licensure and at least 1 year in an OR, with BCLS and ACLS as required. CNOR and PALS are preferred; the role is on-site with opportunities to grow within the HCA network.

Qualifications

• RN education from an accredited nursing program
• Minimum 1 year of OR experience, preferably ambulatory surgery
• Active RN license per state requirements or compact licensure
• BCLS certification required at employment start (online not acceptable)
• ACLS as required by facility
• PALS preferred but may be required at some facilities
• CNOR certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee instrument and equipment setup for the OR including use of preference cards
• Coordinate and oversee the case as the circulator
• Facilitate efficient transitions between procedures
• Assist with patient moving and positioning to prevent injury
• Manage patient care and medication, including anesthesia assistance
• Review charts for completeness before and after procedures
