Job summary

Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center’s Obstetrics/Gynecology clinic in Clemmons is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for ambulatory care. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, 40 hours per week. Competitive pay with benefits eligibility.

Responsibilities include patient prep, assisting physicians, administering medications, IV duties as allowed, and patient education. Requires LPN licensure and BLS certification within 45 days if applicable.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in Practical Nursing.
• No experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 45 days unless exempt by department lead.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and updating health information.
• Assists the physician with procedures and surgeries such as pelvic exams and related tests.
• Administers medications under orders; may initiate IV therapy as permitted.
• Maintains exam rooms and lab/work areas, including stocking and cleaning.
• Provides patient education and coordinates referrals as needed.
