Job summary

Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center - Pediatrics is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide care within the pediatric office setting, documenting patient interactions and coordinating with the care team. This role emphasizes accurate charting, triage support, and adherence to regulatory standards.

The 40-hour work week runs Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with responsibilities including injections, vital signs, medication history reviews, and assisting during procedures to ensure safe,

Qualifications

• LPN license required and active in the applicable state.
• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
• BLS certification required by policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care or arrange for appropriate care in the office setting.
• Document all patient care/interactions in the medical record.
• Participate in telephone triage and advise patients per protocols.
• Track and log laboratory/diagnostic tests and present results.
• Perform pre-visit planning with the provider and care team.
• Administer medications, including injections, and check vital signs.
• Assist with medication history review and immunization compliance.
• Support providers during procedures and maintain a clean room.

Education

Licensed Practical Nurse with current license to practice in applicable state

Graduate of an Accredited School of practical nursing

BLS required per policy guidelines
