Job summary

Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC, seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Family Medicine team. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with a pay range of $24.10–$36.15 per hour and benefits eligibility.

Responsibilities include patient screening, basic lab work, assisting clinicians, administering medications, IV work within scope, and patient education. BLS is required within 45 days if applicable. Prior LPN licensure in the state is required.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the practicing state.
• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 45 days if required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patients, record vital signs and health info.
• Perform lab procedures using aseptic technique.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures.
• Administer medications under orders, including vaccines and antibiotics.
• Initiate and manage IV therapy within scope.
• Provide patient education on tasks and self-care.
