Job summary

SB CLINICAL PRACTICE MANAGEMENT PLAN INC is seeking an Ambulatory Nurse Manager for Stony Brook Internists, UFPC in Southampton, NY. The RN will oversee day-to-day clinic operations, working with the Department Administrator to implement policies for efficient outpatient care.

The role includes supervising staff, HR tasks, triage, lab review, and ensuring DOH/JCAHO/HIPAA/OSHA compliance. Strong leadership and communication are essential to support physicians and patients in a busy ambulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• RN license to practice in New York
• Minimum 5 years RN experience with at least 3 years in supervision/administration
• Excellent organizational and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff at ambulatory care site
• Collaborate with Department Administrator on HR tasks (recruitment, training, staff development, evaluations, performance improvement plans, re-certifications)
• Triage patient phone calls
• Review lab reports and report abnormal results
• Manage operational aspects of the outpatient clinic and monitor patient statistics
• Develop and implement standardized procedures; ensure DOH/JCAHO/HIPAA/OSHA compliance
• Update policies to meet changing needs; participate in quality improvement projects
• Attend meetings and training; provide nursing support to physicians/APPs
• Act as liaison between physician, staff, and patients; follow up on issues
• Prepare reports on fiscal/operational issues; represent department on committees
