SB CLINICAL PRACTICE MANAGEMENT PLAN INC is seeking an Ambulatory Nurse Manager for Stony Brook Internists, UFPC in Southampton, NY. The RN will oversee day-to-day clinic operations, working with the Department Administrator to implement policies for efficient outpatient care.

The role includes supervising staff, HR tasks, triage, lab review, and ensuring DOH/JCAHO/HIPAA/OSHA compliance. Strong leadership and communication are essential to support physicians and patients in a busy ambulatory

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• RN license to practice in New York
• Minimum 5 years RN experience with at least 3 years in supervision/administration
• Excellent organizational and communication skills

Responsabilidades

• Update policies to meet changing needs; participate in quality improvement projects
• Attend meetings and training; provide nursing support to physicians/APPs
• Act as liaison between physician, staff, and patients; follow up on issues
• Prepare reports on fiscal/operational issues; represent department on committees

Ambulatory Nurse Manager – Stony Brook Internists, UFPC

Location: Southampton, NY.

Schedule: Full Time (Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM; evenings and weekends may be required).

Salary Range: $115,501 – $126,933 (pay determined based on experience, preferred qualifications, and education). The above range is our good faith estimate at the time of posting.

SUMMARY

The Registered Nurse (RN) will manage the day‑to‑day operations of the Ambulatory Clinic working closely with the Department Administrator to develop and institute policies and procedures for the smooth, efficient flow of outpatient care.

Job Duties & Essential Functions

• Supervise staff at ambulatory care site
• Works closely with Department Administrator on all human resource related tasks including recruitment, training, staff development, performance program evaluations, performance improvement plans, clinical competencies and re‑certifications
• Triage patient phone calls.
• Review lab reports and report abnormal results to physicians.
• Manage all operational aspects of the outpatient clinic, including monitoring patient related statistics, coordinating room utilization, developing and implementing standardized procedures and practices, following all DOH, JCAHO, HIPAA and OSHA standards.
• Update policies and procedures to meet changing needs of department, physicians, and patients.
• Perform quality improvement projects.
• Attend meetings and related training sessions.
• Provide physicians and Physician Assistants with nursing assistance as needed.
• Perform post‑operative care/suture removal.
• Act as liaison and problem solver between physician, staff, and patients.
• Follow up on and rectify problems reported by staff, physicians, and patients.
• Prepare reports related to fiscal, operational issues, or patient care as directed by Department Administrator.
• Represent department on committees, such as Ambulatory Care Committee, as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensed to practice in New York State.
• Five (5) years of Registered Nurse experience with at least three (3) years of supervisory or administrative experience.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced nursing degree
• Experience with triage
• Knowledge of JCAHO and HIPAA standards

Physical Demands

The employee must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. This position is active and requires the employee to constantly move about in the office to assist patients, staff and medical providers.
