Job summary

Loyola Medicine in Illinois is seeking an experienced nurse leader to supervise clinical staff across LOC Med Specialties and Gen Med clinics. You will provide day-to-day clinical and operational leadership during assigned shifts, establish caring relationships with patients, and collaborate with physicians and clinic leadership to meet patient needs.

The role includes staffing, scheduling, onboarding, coaching, performance evaluations, and contributing to quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing required.
• Current IL RN license.
• 5+ years RN experience.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
• Ability to lead, coach and teach staff.
• Ability to handle complex situations and work in challenging environments.
• Team-oriented with attention to detail in clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day clinical and operational leadership for ambulatory staff.
• Establish caring relationships with patients and families.
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and clinic leadership.
• Lead daily safety and capacity huddles.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling and labor utilization.
• Support clinic goals, change initiatives and nursing governance.
• Supervise staff including hiring, onboarding and evaluations.
• Create staffing schedules with lead staff for coverage.
• Provide education to staff and students for growth.
• Participate in quality improvement and development of care protocols.
• Monitor patient safety and ensure timely interventions.
• Support productivity, staffing and budgetary goals.
• Assist with conflict resolution and foster a positive team environment.
