Mercyhealth in Illinois is seeking a Nursing Leader to drive patient safety, quality care, and exceptional service across units. You will mentor staff, manage staffing within budget, and partner with the Clinical Leader to align with department goals.

The role requires RN license, BSN preferred, and CPR certification. You will participate in committees, support performance improvement, and model professional behavior while advancing Mercyhealth's mission across seven hospitals and 85 clinics.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• BSN preferred.
• Licensed as an RN in state of practice.
• Approved CPR certification required within 90 days.
• ACLS, PALS, PEARS, NRP may be required per unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong leadership and mentorship to nursing staff.
• Ensure staffing within budget and productivity targets.
• Participate in staff selection, evaluation, orientation, and development.
• Foster physician and interdepartmental relationships for patient care.
• Drive patient safety, quality care, and patient experience improvements.
• Lead department committees and performance improvement activities.
• Model professional behavior and accountability.
