Northwestern Medicine Catherine Gratz Griffin Lake Forest Hospital is seeking a Full Time Float Ambulatory Nurse Clinician to support North Region clinics (Glenview, Deerfield, Vernon Hills, Lake Bluff, Lake Forest, Grayslake). The role involves nursing assessments, education, and collaborative care across multiple sites.

Schedule features 4, 10-hour shifts Tuesday through Friday; mileage reimbursement and float differential are provided.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Registered Professional Nurse licensure in the State of Illinois.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR certification.
• Current experience within past five years or new nursing graduate within past two years.

Aufgaben

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and document findings.
• Provide routine nursing duties including phlebotomy, meds, vital signs, and lab prep.
• Demonstrate competency in complex procedures including conscious sedation and chemotherapy administration.
• Interpret abnormalities and take appropriate remedial action; document interventions.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Triage and prioritize incoming calls using clinical assessment skills.
• Manage emergencies per organizational protocols and operate emergency equipment.
• Serve as a resource and delegate tasks to LPNs and Medical Assistants per Illinois law.
• Suggest policy improvements to enhance patient experience and ensure timely implementation.
• Initiate and coordinate patient education and community outreach as requested.

Ausbildung

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing

Illinois RN licensure

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred

American Heart Association CPR certification
