Rhode Island Hospital is seeking a Medical Assistant to join ambulatory care teams. You will support pre-visit planning, document patient information in EMR, take vital signs, and assist clinicians with examinations while following clinic protocols to ensure safe, efficient care.

The ideal candidate has a formal MA training program or 3 years of ambulatory MA experience and holds a Basic Life Support certification. Work hours are daytime, with a focus on patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency; able to read, write, and speak English.
• Graduate of formal Medical Assistant training program (9 months or longer) or minimum 3 years Medical Assistant experience in ambulatory setting.
• Basic Life Support Certification.

Responsabilités

• Follow clinic/workflow protocols to maximize quality and efficiency.
• Perform pre-visit planning and update patient records with recent results and services.
• Take vital signs, document in EMR, and enter patient data.
• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures and maintain aseptic techniques.
