Job summary

You will perform pre-visit planning, vital signs, phlebotomy or point-of-care tests, vaccines, and documentation in the EMR, ensuring accuracy and privacy. Strong teamwork and communication are essential for high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalency; read, write and speak English.
• Graduate of formal Medical Assistant training program (9 months or longer) or minimum of 3 years MA experience in ambulatory setting.
• Basic Life Support Certification.
• Ability to use EMR and other software applications.
• Ability to interact with patients, providers, supervisors and peers professionally.

Responsibilities

• Follows clinic/workflow protocols to maximize quality and efficiency.
• Pre-visit planning by reviewing patient records and determining needed services.
• Prepare patients for examination and treatment; record vital signs and enter data in EMR.
• Administer vaccines and provide patient education to coordinate care.
• Follow up on lab results, referrals, and medication refills.
