Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinicians in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. This role helps patients transition into the office and performs essential clinical tasks to promote quality care.

Responsibilities include taking medical histories, measuring vital signs, preparing vaccines, documenting in the electronic health record, and coordinating with the care team. Local travel to multiple sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least two years of medical assistant experience within the last five years.
• Current AHA CPR certification.
• Ability to travel locally to multiple sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Take patient histories and assist in physical examinations.
• Act as liaison between patients, physicians and clinicians.
• Measure vital signs and collect specimens for testing.
• Prepare and administer vaccines/medications and document in the electronic health record.
