Job summary

Cooper Pediatrics seeks a diligent Medical Assistant to support ambulatory care teams. You will greet patients, record vitals, assist with rooming and documentation in the EMR, and help with vaccines and specimen handling.

You will coordinate scheduling, follow-up care, and patient outreach, while collaborating with physicians, nurses, and staff to ensure high-quality, patient-centered service.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of recent experience working in a medical facility as a medical assistant and/or externship completed in a medical office.
• EKG, vital signs, venipuncture, capillary and injection experience.
• Excellent organizational, written/verbal communication and teamwork skills.
• Current BLS/CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and guests using AIDET and provide excellent service in ambulatory settings.
• Perform rooming, vitals, medication history, and documentation in EMR (MyChart messaging).
• Administer vaccines and assist with lab work and specimen handling per protocol.
• Schedule follow-ups and coordinate patient flow across the continuum.
• Support physicians and providers with orders, testing, and charting.
• Maintain regulatory and quality standards in daily operations.
