SWLA Center for Health Services is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join the Clinical Services team. You will greet patients, collect information, assist physicians, prepare exam rooms, and support total patient care in an ambulatory setting.

The role requires current CMA certification, BLS, and at least one year of outpatient experience preferred. Competitive benefits are included, and the site emphasizes teamwork and quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Certified Clinical Medical Assistant credential.
• Current BLS certification.
• CEUs or equivalent hours for recertification.
• Must successfully complete competency exam.
• Prefer at least one year of ambulatory outpatient experience.

Responsabilités

• Greet patients and minimize waiting time in the exam room.
• Collect patient information to assist the physician and support care.
• Ensure proper disrobing for the visit type.
• Assist physicians with procedures, administer medications within scope, draw laboratory specimens.
• Interpret physician instructions to patient or family.
• Arrange follow-up care when required.
• Call patients who no-show to reschedule.
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms, equipment, supplies and environment.
• Participate in training and health promotion activities.
• Perform additional duties as prescribed by nursing and medical leadership.
• Assume additional duties to ensure quality health services.
