Job summary

Mass General Brigham is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant for a 40-hour week at our Swampscott, MA site. The role supports a high-volume ambulatory family medicine practice with 1:1 pairing to a provider, within standard hours 7:30 AM–5:00 PM, Monday–Friday.

Ideal candidates have MA training or 1+ year experience and national MA certification (AAMA/AMT/NHA/NCCT). BLS and Epic experience are preferred; duties include vitals, patient flow, and basic office tasks.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant training or 1+ year MA experience.
• National MA Certification (AAMA, AMT, NHA or NCCT) preferred.
• Epic experience and ambulatory/outpatient experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, document patient information, and manage patient flow.
• Support clinicians with procedures and prepare examination rooms.
• Explain treatments, prepare educational materials, and assist with paperwork.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and coordinate with departments.
• Collect specimens, log results, and prepare for testing; perform phlebotomy if capable.
• Maintain immunization inventory and check expiration dates.
• Ensure quality initiatives and patient safety practices are followed.
