Job summary

The Ohio State University Medical Center is seeking an Outpatient Registered Nurse for the Ambulatory Services Powell Endoscopy unit. The RN will be part of a team delivering high-quality patient care, with responsibilities spanning assessment, planning, coordination and evaluation of nursing care in a surgical setting.

The role requires leadership of the care team, collaboration with other professionals, and readiness to work rotating shifts in a fast-paced outpatient environment.

Qualifications

• Must have current Ohio RN license or interim permit.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; RN registered.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Managing care to the patient and family, and directing and supervising other members of the patient care team.
• Assessing, prescribing, implementing, coordinating, delegating, and evaluating nursing care of patients.
• Prioritizing patient care needs and providing leadership and development of the patient care team.
• Functioning within performance expectations defined for nurses in a surgical setting.
• Call assigned on a rotating basis and as late cases arise.

Education

Associate's Degree in Nursing.
