Qualifications

• Three (3) years' ambulatory coding experience required.
• Five (5) years' inpatient coding experience preferred.
• RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC credentials required; CPMA preferred.
• HIPAA/compliance knowledge essential.
• Experience creating education materials and training programs.

Responsibilities

• Keeps abreast of federal and state regulations and TRHS policies as they change.
• Adheres to TRHS compliance standards and HIPAA/privacy rules.
• Implements tasks meeting the age-specific needs of patients and staff.
• Suggests operational improvements to reduce costs.
• Attends mandatory education programs and pursues ongoing training.
