Job summary

North East Medical Services in San Francisco seeks a Clinic Operations Manager to oversee ambulatory care services, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care across the continuum. You will collaborate with medical leadership to maintain quality metrics, develop staff, and manage budgets in a dynamic healthcare environment.

The role requires strong interpersonal and leadership skills, Bachelors in Administration or related field (Master’s preferred), and experience in staff development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Administration or related field or master’s degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years managerial experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to handle difficult people and difficult situations.
  • Experience in staff development and excellent written and oral skills are required.
  • Must be accountable to handle money and balance finances.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service and assist in the resolution of disputes.
  • Current documentation of Basic Life Support is required.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the daily operations of ambulatory care services throughout the continuum.
  • Ensures staff provides the highest quality of care and are in compliance with PCMH, state, federal and local requirements.
  • Collaborates with Medical Director, AMD and other providers to improve quality metrics and meet client expectations.
  • Develops/implements patient services and day-to-day operations.
  • Acts as liaison with payer representatives and regulators.
  • Acts as patient advocate resolving patient care issues.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Develops, monitors, and manages budgets and resource allocations.
  • Supports Medical Director and AMD in achieving quality and financial goals.
  • Provides on-going staff development and feedback; conducts annual evaluations.
  • Develops policies and procedures supporting organizational goals.
  • Manages HR, safety, and risk management issues; determines staff mix.
  • Screens, interviews, hires, trains, and maintains staff competency.
  • Provides coaching/counseling sessions as appropriate.
  • Maintains effective relationships with other departments, regulators, and external customers.
  • Ensures staff and patient confidentiality is maintained.
  • Direct supervision of department and personnel; interviewing, hiring, scheduling, evaluating, rewarding, and addressing problems.
