Job summary

Socket.dev seeks an experienced Clinic Operations Director to oversee ambulatory services across Incline Village, Tahoe City, and Truckee, covering Primary Care, Behavioral Health, ENT/Plastics, Cardiology, Infectious Disease, and Neurology.

You will lead day-to-day operations, staffing, budgeting, quality, and patient experience while partnering with medical directors to implement service line priorities and system-wide improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 5+ years management experience in a hospital system or physician group setting.
• Masters' degree and certificates in billing and/or coding are preferred.
• Valid Driver's License in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and oversight of day-to-day clinic operations across multiple locations and service lines.
• Partners with service line Medical Directors to develop service line strategy.
• Translates organizational and service line strategies into actionable operational plans.
• Ensures standardized clinical and operational workflows.
• Leads operational improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, access, and patient flow.
• Oversees clinic integrations, transitions, and practice optimization.
• Oversees staffing models and resource allocation in alignment with patient demand and budget targets.
• Directs clinic leadership in recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts.
• Provides guidance for employee relations, performance management, and corrective actions.
• Ensures adherence to scheduling, timekeeping, and labor management standards.
• Promotes a culture aligned with organizational values and Just Culture principles.
• Establishes and monitors KPIs across access, quality, finance, and patient experience.
• Holds clinic leadership accountable for achieving performance targets.
• Uses data to identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions.
• Drives a culture of continuous improvement and operational discipline.
• Develops and manages clinic operating budgets with finance.
• Monitors productivity, staffing ratios, and expenses to meet financial targets.
• Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency and financial performance.
• Oversees front-end revenue cycle operations in collaboration with centralized functions.
• Ensures clinic operations comply with regulatory requirements and policies.
• Maintains survey readiness and supports accreditation activities.
• Leads implementation of policies, procedures, and clinical standards.
• Partners with quality and risk teams to support patient safety and performance improvement initiatives.
• Promotes a culture of service excellence and patient-centered care.
• Provides escalation support for patient concerns and service recovery.
• Collaborates with providers to improve care coordination and system-wide integration.
• Partners with IT and informatics to optimize workflows and EMR use.
• Leads, coaches, and develops clinic managers and supervisors.
• Acts as operational liaison between clinics, providers, and system leadership.
• Represents clinic operations on committees and initiatives.
