Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, seeks a registered nurse to provide direct patient care across a clinical area and support leadership on the unit. You will apply nursing knowledge to ensure safety and comfort per standards and participate in continuous improvement of patient care.

Requirements include Texas RN license, BLS, and 6+ months in a clinical area; experience with EPIC is a plus. Salary ranges per hour with comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved professional registered nursing program.
• Current and valid Texas RN license.
• Current BLS through American Heart Association.
• 6+ months in a clinical area; 1+ years KSC experience may be considered with Sr Dir approval.
• Ability to use equipment and related supplies for the assigned clinical area, including CPR, oxygen administration, and IV therapy.
• Computer experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to patients in an assigned clinical area and leadership on the unit, under supervision.
• Applies clinical nursing knowledge to ensure safety and comfort of patients and families.
• Utilizes critical thinking to identify priorities and make judgments for multiple patients.
