Job summary

UHC United Hospital Center seeks an experienced healthcare leader to oversee assigned areas and translate objectives into actions that ensure quality patient care. The role focuses on administration, staffing, budgeting and compliance within a teaching environment.

Responsibilities include developing staff, coordinating clinical services with other units, promoting patient satisfaction, and guiding policy implementation to meet regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate’s Degree; or a high school diploma with 3 years healthcare experience.
• Two years of healthcare management/supervisory experience.
• State background check and federal check as required for regulated areas.
• Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, implements and evaluates the delivery of patient care in accordance with policy, procedures, philosophy and mission.
• Develops, implements and supports strategies for quality patient care based on medical service requirements while achieving positive patient relations in a teaching environment.
• Ensures staff provides quality, effective care in line with policies, procedures and service standards; monitors quality of care.
• Works with staff to identify opportunities to improve patient care and coordinates activities between clinical units.
• Facilitates development of departmental policies; ensures compliance with regulations (CLIA, OSHA, Medicare, etc.).
• Promotes customer satisfaction in a professional, constructive manner.
• Collaborates with Medical Director to achieve program goals.
