Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of Optum, seeks a Nursing Department Manager to drive high-quality patient care across ambulatory departments. You will oversee staff activities, ensure satisfaction, and manage budgets to support efficient operations.

Ideal candidates hold a BSN with 4+ years of supervisory experience, Texas RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS where applicable. EPIC experience is preferred and collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or 4+ years of supervisory/management experience.
• RN licensed and active Texas license.
• BLS (AHA Healthcare Provider) required.
• ACLS or ability to obtain within three months.
• PALS certification if supervise pediatric department or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 4+ years of clinical RN experience with at least 2+ years of progressive supervisor/management experience.
• Personnel management and clinical management experience.
• Proficient keyboarding and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee department staff activities related to patient care, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to budget and policies.
• Collaborate with organizational levels to create an environment of excellence and continual learning.
• Maintain generalist nursing skill proficiency across ambulatory care responsibilities.
• Oversee 4–10 providers in one or more departments.
