Job summary

Wayne Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide professional telephone and face-to-face nursing care following established policies. In this ambulatory setting, you will support examinations, coordinate treatments, and educate patients and families on health plans.

Responsibilities include vital signs, specimen handling, venipunctures, IV therapy, medication dispensing, and documentation in EMR.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work as a Registered Nurse in Michigan
• Ambulatory care experience preferred
• Current nursing license and BLS certification required
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Willingness to work 40 hours with variable schedule

Responsibilities

• Perform and document vital signs and patient assessments
• Assist with specimen collection, tests and procedures
• Prepare patients for examinations and coordinate treatments
• Assist physicians with procedures and surgeries
• Perform venipunctures, IV therapy, and injections as ordered
• Dispense medications per physician orders and document
• Document care summaries in medical records
• Schedule tests, referrals, and admissions
• Review lab results and notify physicians of abnormalities
• Educate patients and families on health plans and recovery
