Job summary

Capital Health is hiring a full-time nurse to provide ambulatory care support across multiple settings. You will assist physicians, administer medications, and educate patients. Licensing in NJ/PA is required, with BSN preferred and BLS certification.

This role involves 40 hours weekly with competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits. Qualifications include an associates degree in nursing, 1 year of relevant experience, and strong customer service and computer skills.

Qualifications

Associates degree or graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
BSN preferred.
NJ or PA license based on primary state location.
Must attain second out of state RN license within three months.
One year experience in acute, urgent care or outpatient setting.
AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider
Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

Performs nursing care/treatment modalities for patients and assists LIP with procedures.
References policies to follow Capital Health best practices.
Communicates with patient’s family when appropriate.
Educates patients and documents education and comprehension.
Obtains patient history and reviews test results for LIPs.
Administers medications and documents in records.
Triages patient calls and documents assessments.
Maintains logs for labs, X-rays and tests; monitors storage conditions.
May participate in research studies and assist co-workers during busy periods.
