Job summary

Seattle Children’s is seeking a Patient Support Coordinator to perform a range of patient care support tasks and model our core values by delivering exceptional service to patients, families, and clinical partners. You will liaise between patients, families and RN/provider teams and help route calls, document information, and assist with prior authorizations.

Responsibilities include handling high-volume calls, gathering information, and supporting staff with timely communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; minimum three years of related experience in customer service, patient support, and/or office management in a clinical setting.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; healthcare/medical back office experience.

Responsibilities

• Answer high-volume phone lines, prioritizing, screening, and routing calls.
• Gather and document appropriate information; recognize time-sensitive messages and respond accordingly.
• Support prior authorizations for medication and supplies.
• Manage patient flow by answering questions, resolving conflicts, and notifying appropriate staff of issues.
• Provide research and follow-up.
