The Muscatine Fire Department is seeking part-time ambulance technicians to help staff the ambulance service.
Work involves responding to medical emergencies; responding to non-emergency calls for service; standing by at fire scenes and at community events prepared to respond to medical emergencies.
Participates in emergency response drills and routine training sessions, including instructions in the latest emergency response techniques. Includes training required for recertification.
The City provides assistance with the requirements for EMT recertification.
Beginning wage is with regular pay increases:
WORK SCHEDULE: Part-time on an on-call basis. These employees will be called to work as needed by the department, but must be available at least 24 hours per month on average.
